The Walter C. Nielsen Business Park, located off Mussey Road is home to the US Postal Distribution Center, a 429,000 square foot building, designed to handle mail processing in southern and central Maine. The park has a few other lots which are all zoned industrial.

The purpose of the areas zoned Industrial is to provide districts within the Town of Scarborough for manufacturing, processing, treatment, research, warehousing, storage and distribution, and other compatible uses, where there is no unreasonable danger of explosion or other hazard to health or safety.
